Ann Collins, a nutritionist, runs an Internet website service for dieters. You have to pay a $19.95 membership fee good for a year. This entitles you to diet plans, tips to stay motivated, exercise plans and access to a weight loss forum where you can ask for advice and network with others on the diet. She offers nine different diet plans: this is the Diet for Life Plan. This is a fourteen-day plan of meals and snacks that add up to about 1300 calories per day. You can increase that to 2000 calories by adding more approved snacks. It’s a slower weight loss plan designed to help you reach and maintain your ideal weight “for life.”

Breakfast

1/2 cup fat-free yogurt

1 scrambled egg on 1 slice whole meal toast

 

Lunch

 

Savory Pita

 

1 whole meal pita or roll

2 oz turkey with 2 tbsp salsa

Lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion salad

1 medium piece fresh fruit

 

Main Meal

 

Chili Chicken Tortilla

Ingredients: 3 oz skinless chicken breast, 1 tbsp hot sauce, 2 tbsp canned kidney beans, 1 small red bell pepper, 1 small onion, 1 x 8" soft flour tortilla. Serve with 2 cups salad.

 

1/2 cup any fat-free yogurt with tbsp chopped fruit.

- 1 cup fat-free milk (or equivalent)
