The Hellers wrote the best selling book, The Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet. This one is a companion book for people who fall off the low-carbohydrate wagon. It is a one-week diet designed to move you gently away from eating regular foods and back on your low-carbohydrate diet. Although it is only a seven-day diet, this book is quite long and full of advice for low-carb dieters. The book assumes that on Day One you are already eating the foods in italics. You keep eating them, but you add the low-carb, high protein foods over the course of a week until you switch out of your old ways and back to your low-carb diet.

Eat ¼-roasted chicken, salad then eat

Chicken noodle soup

Eat 3-4 meatballs and shrimp, then eat

Small portion of Potato chips and one small chocolate bar

Shrimp

3-4 meatballs, Asparagus then eat

Bread OR spaghetti

One glass of Wine

One piece of crustless quiche
