The Egg Diet

Description:

This is a crazy diet circulating the Internet. The basic rule is to eat nothing but eggs. You can have three eggs at every meal, or do a variation such as two for breakfast, one for a mid-morning snack, two for lunch, another for a mid-afternoon snack, and more for dinner. You can have them cooked any style you want or eat them raw.

Some movie stars allegedly go on the Egg Diet to quickly get in shape for a role. Adrian Brody supposedly lost over 30 pounds for his Academy Award-winning role as a Holocaust survivor in “The Pianist.” However, he told interviewers that it was actually a variation of the Egg Diet.

“I had two boiled eggs, and then I had nothing for about five hours, then a small piece of chicken, grilled, and then four or five hours later a small piece of fish and a few steamed vegetables,” he explained.

A variation of the Egg Diet is the Atkins Egg Diet, in which you eat unlimited eggs and meat, but nothing else. Therefore, breakfast may be four to six fried eggs, three or four sausage patties, and plenty of bacon; lunch may be steak and eggs; dinner may be eggs, pork chops, and bacon, etc.
