Warrior Diet

Description:

Ori Hofmekler advertises his diet book and diet plan as a radical but brilliant solution to America’s overweight problem, based on anthropological research. By following his plan, you learn to “how to nourish the body in sync with its innate circadian clock – separating between a.m. foods to p.m. foods for effective removal of toxins, increased breakdown of fat for energy, increased utilization of nutrients and improved resilience to stress."

The premise is that in ancient times we humans only ate at night when we gathered around our campfires in our caves. As we cave dwellers were too busy hunting and gathering food in the day, we only had time to gorge ourselves at night. This natural cycle of fasting and gorging is the way we are naturally programmed to eat. When we do this, we become mentally sharper, like warriors, and we reduce blood pressure, improve cardiovascular and renal functions, and develop better resistance to diseases like cancer.

Expert Review:

Not many people could sustain a diet like this for a long period of time. The key to life-long weight control is to find a plan you can live with in a normal world.

Sample Menu:

The diet is simple:

SKIP BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

During the day, you can snack on raw fruit and vegetables, but you should allow 16 to 18 hours of fasting between your one meal of the day.

NIGHT MEAL

First eat raw vegetables.

Then proteins, cooked vegetables and fats.

Then carbohydrates.

Stop eating when you feel thirsty (yes, thirsty).

Hofmekler sells a line of Warrior products such as Warrior Rice Powder, Warrior Stubborn Fat Burner, Warrior Jump Start Kit, Warrior Bars, Warrior Colostrum, etc.
